Week three

It has been great to talk with some of you this week through supervisions and see you in the sessions also.

Module One - AOLs are forming, discussions of potential titles have been great! Use the reading materials around theories of REFLECTION and your own processes of reflection in the studio, be guided by the session with Peter Thomas this week, (recording and slides on unihub) and the follow up session next week (see below for scheduling) in your thinking and crafting of the first AOL essay draft  - remember that a draft is to start a conversation of feedback with your supervisor, it should not be finished work, you should have questions around it to discuss!

Module Two - a great session with Astrid Bernkopf this week introducing you to Ethics and particularly some of the ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS around research in the arts. Do access this session recording if you missed it and expand your understanding of ethics in research design through the materials on your reading list for DAN4630, this is critical for the proposal you will write for this module.

Module Three - Lovely to hear you all talk through your processes of inquiry at this stage. Interviews, preparing for interviews, journalling, thinking, being challenged. Do allow yourself to be in each part of the process of the inquiry. Right now it's all about gathering data, so that you have something to work with...enjoy that phase of gathering, listening, observing and contemplating...

Recordings of all sessions this week are on Unihub, please do access these if you were not able to attend live.

'WHY WE WRITE ESSAYS IN ARTS-BASED PRACTICE'

WITH SAM MURRAY AND PETER THOMAS WILL RUN ON
