Preparing for the term ahead

We begin a new term of study together next week -

Monday Jan 30th - with a Welcome Back session at 1700 (GMT) we look forward to seeing you all there!

You will be able to see your provisional grade and feedback for last term's work on Unihub by this Friday Jan 27th, please do check your MyUniHub for this, it is important you read through any feedback before starting the next module. Any problems let us know.

Grades remain provisional until the university assessment boards which happen on Feb 16th, soon after this they will appear on your Student Record as confirmed along with any RPL credit you claimed last term.

The Module Handbooks for all Modules are on your Programme Pages - ie: MAPP DTP, MAPP Dance, MAPP SS, MAPP AP, MAPP CIP - not on our general MAPP ACI hub page. Please go there and download the handbook for the next module of study. The reading lists are all available on MyLibrary through a Library search of your module code: DAN4630, DAN4760...

The Academic Calendar is on our MAPP ACI hub page and is as published in Sept. Do check and diarise dates for this term and make every effort to attend sessions in real-time, while we record where appropriate, the essence of a dialogic pedagogy relies on the conversation between you on the topics scheduled - a reminder that these are not traditional lectures where you come to receive information, but where you as professional practitioners are co-constructive of your learning, and we learn in community with each other.

As last term, and in response to previous student feedback, we will start the term with 'Introductions' to each module, clarifying aims and intentions, work for assessment, processes involved this term. As these are distance learning programmes, these kind of sessions are valuable in answering common questions of 'what am I supposed to be doing this term?' Please come, ask and we will clarify.

Your Supervisor will remain the same as last term, unless we have had a conversation with you to state otherwise. Please do get in touch AFTER the first Introduction session for your Module this term when you are ready to talk through your ideas.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and great term ahead!
